Increasing the hope, confidence and independence of people with disabilities and chronic health conditions of all ages and their circle of support through training, information, emotional support and advocacy.

Family TIES of Nevada is a statewide nonprofit organization directed by people with disabilities and their family members. We are also the state affiliate of Family Voices, a national organization speaking on behalf of children and youth with special health care needs.

Living life full with the daily challenges of disability and chronic health concerns takes courage and endurance. At Family TIES we have a very personal and clear vision for those we serve. Our staff and board members either have a disability or chronic illness themselves, or they are the parents of children who do.

We provide knowledge, support, and inspiration at no cost to our clients:

• Training to help shape public policy and make informed choices
• Information about resources, events, conferences, and workshops
• Referrals to agencies and programs
• Emotional Support by connecting families to other families with similar experiences
• Advocacy in navigating the complex systems of care
