Marcia has over twenty years of experience working with and for nonprofit organizations. Her former activities with Family TIES included serving as the organization’s Outreach Specialist and forming the Nevada chapter of Family Voices.

As the state coordinator for Family Voices she represents consumers in discussions regarding health care. In that capacity, she co-chairs the Statewide Covering Kids and Families Coalition which promotes the Nevada Check Up health insurance program for children from low income families. Marcia is a professional multimedia specialist, the parent of a 6-year-old son who has Down Syndrome, and a graduate of the Nevada Partners in Policymaking program. Email her at momalley@familytiesnv.org

Rosa is the mother of a child with special healthcare needs attending Elementary school. Having a child with health care needs has brought Rosa to become involved, not only to improve her daughter’s quality of life, but also assist other families.

Rosa works out of our satellite office in Las Vegas conducting research, collecting information in other languages and formats, enhancing the clearinghouse of information maintained by Family TIES, and promoting the project to families, professionals, support groups, and consumer-run organizations. Being bilingual in Spanish she will be able to lend support to Hispanic families.  Email her at rosa@familytiesnv.org.

Nicole graduated with her Bachelor's of Science in Human Development and Family Studies in 2004 from the University of Nevada, Reno.  She is a wife and mother of four, and comes from a family of eleven out of Seattle, Washington.

Nicole works out of the main office in Reno providing Information and Referral support to families who contact the Center, and researching healthcare information for families.  She will be gathering healthcare information for the Center, updating the database, attending consumer group meetings, and representing the Center in meetings with consumer groups, provider agencies, medical professionals, and community programs.  Email her at npetty@familytiesnv.org.

As the Training Coordinator for the Nevada Partners in Policymaking Nicole's duties include recruiting and selecting Partners participants, selecting speakers, program design and session processes. Email her at nicole@familytiesnv.org.
